The best poker hand is the Royal Flush, or the Straight Flush. A Straight is five consecutive cards of the same suit. Similarly, the Royal Flush is formed when the straight runs to the ace. However, a flush is not as rare as four of a kind.

There are hundreds of variations of the game. But the best thing about poker is that the rules are very flexible, and it can be played by a variety of people with different personalities.
