One of the simplest types of poker is a straight. A straight is a hand consisting of a pair of aces, a pair of kings, and a pair of queens. Straights are sometimes used as the basis for the final showdown.

A good poker hand might include a straight flush, a three of a kind, or a two pair. If a player suspects that another player is bluffing, he or she may raise the previous bet by the full amount.
